Howard Lake firefighters and their mutual aid companies had their work cut out for them as a garage fire ignited two house fires.
Embers from the house fire spread to a church steeple, Chief Keith Bobrowske told KARE.
The church was constructed in 1902.
"We have a great relationship with all the surrounding towns, which helps out immensely, so we just started calling for mutual aid and getting more trucks, more manpower, and more water coming," he said.
The church is believed to have only sustained water damage.
The cause of the fire that started in the detached garage has not been determined.
